In real life, I'm busy making things blink, flap, and... um, radioify. I'll be in Boston next week, will you?
Next week I'll be in Greece! I'm going to a conference in Athens, so I'll be there the first half [ 14-18 Oct ] and then I think the plan is to travel to Crete for the next couple days [ until the 22nd ]. Also, on the way back I have a night layover in Amsterdam [ 22 night - 23 morning ]. Any of you live in those areas, or know of things to do there that I should not miss?
Finally! I'm told that Beauty and the Geek Season 2 is now showing in India! They're up to episode 4 it seems, so there's still half the season to go. It is showing on Star World, Wednesdays at 8 pm. In other news, I think it's fair to say I'm now a rocket scientist... I launched my control electronics on a couple test flights yesterday. The second one crash landed into the SF Bay when the parachute failed to open, but I was able to retrieve the parts, and I don't think the damage was significant.

You have to solve a brief clue using a webpage they show you. Click on the answer to move on. It's pretty straightforward, try their sample hunt to get a feel for how it goes. The quickest person to make it through all the clues wins! They generally have some pretty awesome prizes. I vouch for their validity, I've won and received toys from them.
I neglected this site for too long, and I come back to find it all filled with spam... what is this world coming to? I implemented yet another check against spambots, hopefully that'll stem the time for a while. We'll see. In other news, I think the Mojave sand is finally out of my eye, and mostly out of my ear too. I suppose that means I can start unpacking to get the sand out of my clothes and sleeping bag now. If you get the chance, the Kelso Dunes in the Mojave Desert are incredible fun to play on: super soft sand that you can ski, snowboard, or just plain tumble down. Make sure you bring lots of water. And send me pics.
